CARUSel™ Lithium
Manganese Spinel is a lower cost alternative to
the layered LiCoO2 or
Li(NiCo)O2 materials due to
the performance and stability of its delithiated
phases, reduced toxicity, and favorable
environmental considerations. CARUSel™’s
excellent thermal stability at high temperature
(55°C) makes it an efficient and effective
secondary cathode material for automotive (HEV/EV)
and electronic applications. CARUSel™ Lithium
Manganese Spinel is derived from a liquid phase
manufacturing process with a final calcination
step to transform a layered delta-form of the
lithium manganese oxide into the spinel structure.
