Recognized nationally as an industry leader for excellence in community service, Carus Group Inc. is proud to lead and support educational and environmental initiatives in the communities we call home. Our outreach efforts include community recycling and waste disposal events, waterway litter removal, internship opportunities, Summer Science Camp for kids, career fairs, chemistry demonstrations in schools, and a unique externship program that provides teachers an inside look at the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) career fields for which they are preparing tomorrow’s leaders. In addition, Carus budgets more than a quarter of a million dollars annually so employees can volunteer for community projects during paid work hours.
Each year the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) selects one member company that best exemplifies the giving spirit of our nation’s manufacturers to receive the Sandy Trowbridge Award for Excellence in Community Service. Carus was the proud recipient of the 2010 Sandy Trowbridge Award.
