Peru, IL Carus Corporation announced on 26 February 2010 that it has acquired the shares of Alexander Chemical Corporation, headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, with manufacturing operations in Kingsbury, Indiana. Alexander is a leading manufacturer and marketer of water purification products primarily used in the municipal drinking water market in the Midwestern USA. “This acquisition represents Carus’ continued commitment to strengthen and expand our product offerings to our drinking water market in North America,” stated Inga Carus, President and CEO of Carus Corporation.
