Carus Corporation Acquires Advanced Water Technologies

LaSalle/Peru, IL – Carus Corporation announced that effective 1 November 2008, Carus Phosphates Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Carus Corporation, has acquired the business and assets of Advanced Water Technologies, Prole, Iowa. “This acquisition represents our commitment to strengthen and expand our water treatment market in the U.S.” stated Paul Carus, President of Carus Phosphates.

 

Jerry and Jan Roby, owners and founders of Advanced Water Technologies, consider this purchase to be a very positive course for the future of the business they built over the last 15 years. “We are pleased to be joining such a highly regarded company as Carus in our industry, as we are proud of the service that we have been able to provide our customers to date”, said Jerry Roby. In addition to phosphates, their product line also includes polymers, industrial water treatment chemicals, and bio-technology products. All of these materials are used to improve water quality, prevent corrosion, save money, and extend the life of the system. Gene Rabent, VP of Sales and Marketing at Carus stated, “We believe this acquisition will strengthen Carus Corporation’s position as a premier provider of chemicals used in the water industry.”
