LaSalle/Peru, IL – On 15 August 2008, Carus Corporation celebrated one year without a lost-time incident. This is a significant milestone which was achieved because of the commitment and dedication of all Carus’ employees. As a top priority for the Corporation, Carus employees are trained daily to focus on safety, teamwork, and thinking through a task before it’s started. According to Chris Backos, Carus’ Safety Professional, employees have logged 463,172 work hours without losing a day of work due to an accident or incident.

We provide training and knowledge, but the basic responsibility lies with each individual. This is a continuous effort by everyone to work safely.
